That is a little worrying. I'm kind of shocked that it's the year 2021 and we are using untreated metal skeletons for these, not so cheap products. I realise that a lot of the cost associated with doll manufacturer goes into aesthetics, but it's not like rust/corrosion resistant metals are hard to produce or source. Going into this I half-expected dolls of the premium variety to come with Alloy and/or polymer skeletons or at the very least treated steel. It's quite disappointing to learn that you cannot engage in such simple activities with your doll, especially when such activities would be conducive to both keeping your doll clean and forming a more natural relationship. Maybe I'm being weird here, but I don't like the idea of pulling my dolls head off for activities that would otherwise make for a perfect bonding experience. In a way I would feel like I am dehumanising her each time I did that. Having read all this I think I may struggle with the concept of not be able to treat my doll like a real person when it matters most. But appreciate the insight Rider.

I was just doing some reading about the properties of TPE. Apparently it has a melting point of 110 Celsius. So it seems like showering with the doll might be feasible after all. Still not sure about getting the head wet though or possible water-logging as described by OP.

Thanks for that Kevin. That's an awesome picture of you both. I like how happy she looks, And yeah that top looks so good on her! I really appreciate you sharing your story too. Things like that aren't easy to come to terms with and typically aren't things you want to dwell on. But you did so in an effort to help me understand, so thank you for that. I don't handle rejection too well at all. The last time I tried to pursue anyone was almost 20 years ago and that rejection broke my spirit, And any self-esteem I had along with it. I just conceded that I am not compatible with people. So here I am, almost 40 and have never been in a relationship. That bothered me less and less as time went on as I started to learn more about the true nature of people. But yeah life is cruel and often unfair and so too are a lot of people. I'm starting to believe that most people are superficial by nature, just some more so than others. Perhaps that's just a by-product of being human. I think if anything, when people show their true colours like that, we can take solace in knowing they weren't worth befriending to begin with. Nothing was lost and nothing was gained. I'm happy to hear that Jenny is more to you than just a doll. I've never been in a situation to put that type of connection to the test, at least not beyond telling my MC I'm sorry for crashing you or praising the A/C for still working after so many years. That part will be very interesting. I do get pretty easily involved/attached to video game characters so hopefully it will come naturally. Now the hard part is deciding which doll to get lol. Hah yeah, thank you for the positive message Rider. Your Chiara does look very sophisticated in that picture. I like her eye colour too. She appears to have a very attentive look on her face. I like it. I too would likely have her dressed in nice casual clothing and maybe a flowing silk nightie for the evening. :)

Sorry that I do not have an answer to this question. I am however curious about this particular scenario. I do not currently have a doll but if I did I would like to share showers with her and I would also probably enjoy bathing her or simply cuddling under the nice relaxing flow of water. Do all dolls have this hole in the cervix ? Also I read that some dolls can't have their heads submersed or even wetted for fear of losing makeup or some such. At any rate, I am anxious to learn about this too.
