I'm an asexual "gay" nb trans man. I just discovered dolls as a way for me to enjoy experimenting with the sensations of partnered sex, sans partner. I don't experience sexual attraction, but I have a very high libido. I'm capable of becoming aroused via visual/sensual/olfactry/auditory/tactile stimulation, though. It's not the same as sexual attraction. It's more like a sympathetic physiological response my body has to certain stimuli. Kind of like when you watch a cooking show, and then you feel like having a snack. Your hunger is a sympathetic response. Another way to look at it is that I have a non-directed libido.
