Please, what kind of liquid soap to use through a spray bottle (watered down, of course) to clean the doll? Also, I saw an article on a site that says once a month to wipe down the doll with baby oil (after washing to remove powder) and let it sit on the skin for 2 hours before wiping off and then reapply powder. Is this a good idea?

I use mineral oil from the pharmacy, I can’t stand the fragrance of baby oil.
it will clean TPE very well, I don’t think that these doll need any oiling though.
you can try soft soap, I like the coconut warm ginger scent.
Thanks FP!
Yeah, if you rub some oil on before bathing it helps to break any dirt loose. She will come cleaner. Any liquid soap works good. Then dry her and apply a generous coating of powder. Recoating with powder about once a month or more if you live in high humidity climates keeps the skin feeling nice and smooth. Otherwise they will get tacky feeling.
Thanks KS!
Will my doll be okay for a couple of weeks being stored in the box? I have a memory foam bed on order for her, but it needs to be ordered from the store. The box does have a thin layer of foam, and also the blanket that comes with the doll. I could put the bubble wrap under the foam to add softness, please let me know...

Do I rinse her after the wash with the diluted soap solution, or just dry and powder her after the wash?
I’m sure it was in its box longer than a few weeks already, a few more shouldn’t be a problem.
You can rinse with a damp towel and let dry.
My favorite thing to put on them is a white crotchless body stocking.
helps keep them clean and makes them easier to move in bed, and also offers a little protection from abrasions.
@Fantastic Plastic good tip on the body stocking FP. You think wearing the white body stocking for an extended period of time might affect her color?
@aero Hasn’t effected color on any doll.
Depending on the tightness it may make minor compression marks.
Thanks again, FP!
Trick says "Thanks!"
Which model is this trick?
@aero She is the 145cm version of "Jennifer". At the time I bought her, she was on sale for $395. Now I see she's $475. I would recommend you get one with standing feet, which the 145 does not have- even though the description says she does. Anyway, my post of "145cm unboxing and impressions" or something like that is basically my review on her.
@alexchangander I was looking at buying the same model. Nice view.
Well tell Trick thanks from us for the eye candy!
Anyone have suggestions for powder? My wife purchased "Alex" that's what we named her, for us. I've read other sites suggesting corn starch, but corn starch gets sticky like paste when added to water. Also, how does corn starch baby powder taste and work?
It's what I use, I like it.
Wow! Wifey buys a doll for the both of you! Jealous!
anyway, don’t know what size you got but if it’s at least 140 tall you can get a crotchless body stocking.
that will make the powdering needed a bit less.
honestly, I just use unscented talcum powder.
seems to last longer.
@alexchangander thanks. That's what we went with.
TPE staining again! 😭 This time it's horrible blue on the back from under the shoulder to the panty line and back of leg on the right side.
So far 2 days with baking soda toothpaste still looks horrible! Going to wash it off tomorrow. Then try the blue can denatured paint thinner.
After that I give up... from now on white clothes! You'd think quality clothes wouldn't stain so horribly. It's frustrating when TPE is supposed to be stain resistant. Wasted a whole weekend to fix... very sad right now.
Please any tips other than the doll dr. On YouTube???
I have used the mineral oil that came with my doll. I apply with a cotton ball and let it sit for a bit. Then a washcloth with warm water and liquid hand soap. I have only used lighter colored clothes. I'm sorry you're have the staining issues and hope you can resolve them.
Oh didn't know that little bottle could get stains out, have yet to have clothing staining even my 2 new outfits unwashed did nothing to the TPE one made of satin other 100% polyester.../knock on wood. The staining I got is from the included Jennifer wig cap, all over top and back of the head and got a nice dark brown strap line down her left ear too boot. When I get back into town I will try out that oil.
Polyester is basically colored plastic fiber, you cant dye it and should never bleed. Most satin is made from polyester as well so you should be good with those. It's cotton and blends you got to watch out for.
Bummer about the wig, you may want to try a human hair wig if you're comfortable with it. They're more than synthetic, but not as expensive as I thought they'd be. Or you could take the really easy way out and put her in a hijab instead of a wig.
Seeing as MLD wants to delete anything that is less than complimentary...I'm posting this here instead of in my own thread as it deals with doll maintenance. My original thought to repair the hip weld fail was to drill holes in the top of the femur, put rivnuts in and attach "L" brackets to the tab from the hip. I completed it and got the leg back together and...the rivnut ripped out as soon as I tried to move the leg! UHGH! Since I had to amputate the entire leg my next course of action will be to have the tab rewelded onto the femur. Once that is done I will post pics of the fix. Here's some pics of my failed attempt to fix.

I'm giving up! Called around and no one I know has a welder. It's not worth the time and effort to pay someone else to do the fix, so....I give up. Will be getting a 6YE doll with ball joint skeleton as my next doll. Good Luck to all of you!
If anyone who belongs to this forum hasn't already joined TDF The Doll Forum, google it, far more informative and impartial. Mike, out!
@Billy Don't have the space to weld even if I bought the welder. My plan is to get a better made doll. Thanks for the input though.
@Mike Virgoram You are welcome and sorry for your troubles. May you have better luck with your next honey, however, from what I am reading on TDF, it seems they all have some kind of problem with their skeleton or the TPE from time to time. The ones that seem to have less problems are the silicone babes. Also, there have been approved vendors on TDF, that have received the boot.
Again the best of luck to you, and to your fantastic plastic babes.
Update: Finally recieved a response from David. He offered $75 off and a free heating rod if I were to purchase another doll. I think I'll pass but at least he did respond.
