I kinda forgot about this forum myself 😅. I'm still around- just not super active anymore. Boxer's body from Jarliet Dolls is still holding up. She's definitely a lot easier on me than her MLD body, and I feel like I'm a bit of a pro at doll care now, lol! Yeah, unfortunately, that's the thing with these dolls. I feel like, for a lot of people, these dolls are temporary. Something to kinda "test drive" until you get something better, which is what happened to me. But, I do appreciating MLD for allowing me a gateway into the doll community. Y'all are awesome. ☺️

I actually like the faint smell of TPE, as weird as that sounds. It's a smell I associate with Boxer, so I've come to enjoy it.

Be extremely careful. The left hip on Boxer ended up snapping due to how cold it was in Virginia. One option you could try is laying a heated blanket on her. Put a normal blanket on her first, like the pink one she came with, then a heated blanket on the lowest setting. Check on her every now and then to make sure the TPE hasn’t gotten too hot. You can also try heating up the room she’s in. But, tbh, your best bet is to just wait until the weather gets warmer and be patient when moving her legs.

@Master H I played around with different makeup palettes, so I just gathered them all up in a picture, lol. If you do try this tho, I recommend keeping a towel under the doll while working on her. The foundation I used took about 12 hours to completely dry, tho some residue that the TPE didn't absorb may still be left behind. I noticed that before locking it in with the powder foundation, but I'm also gonna go back over with talcum powder for extra measure. Here's what I used: From the Luster Light palette: The Elf liquid foundation is called Snow, and the Fit foundation powder is a porcelain ivory color. They were the closest I could find to Boxer's skin tone, as far as the MLD natural skin tone goes. So, if you have a doll with the same skin tone, I recommend those foundations.

True, true. I was just stating what I saw on TDF, as far as selling dolls outside of the hot shot doll brands. No hate on MLD intended. 😅 MLD is good for new doll owners who wanna get their feet wet before throwing down a lot of money tho! That was my original plan before Boxer’s hip broke: Try out a cheaper doll and see if it’s for me before investing in something more fancy and expensive. It’s just a shame her hip gave out. I’m suspecting the extremely cold weather we’ve been having here in VA was what made it finally snap, as it was getting really bad a week before it happened. But, life goes on, and I’m moving forward with saving up for her upgraded model. But, like you, I’ll definitely stick around on the forum. It’s nice to have a place where I can talk about my girl, and I’m always talking about her, lol.

@Fantastic Plastic and @rk105rider That seems like a good idea. I noticed the other day that TDF has something against selling counterfeits on their forum? Not really sure about that tho. But, I would like to sell her body eventually, preferably to someone that’s local and can pick it up for me. I’ll PM you on TDF, FP. My user on there is the same on here. I’m in the same boat. My sister and I were talking last night via text, and I was telling her how Boxer’s leg snapped. I then told her I may be able to get her body replaced, but she was like, “Why do that? It’s just gonna break again, and I don’t think you wanna waste your money like that, knowing how much care you’ve put in to her.” I think she really gave me a reality check, because I was so upset that I just immediately thought of buying another MLD doll, and not thinking about Boxer’s wellbeing in the long run. So I’m currently looking around at finding different bodies to replace her with. Some doll companies sell bodies without the heads, and if I can find a body that’ as close to Boxer’s skin tone as possible (and possibly lighter in weight), then I’ll be happy. I’m also thinking of selling Boxer’s broken body, as some doll owners will actually take broken dolls and fix them up, or use them for spare parts for other dolls. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s going through this tho.

That’s what I’ve been told. Her hip has been giving me a problem for awhile now, so I knew it was gonna happen eventually. But, I’m still shocked and upset over it. I did everything I could to prevent the hip from snapping, but in the end, she suffered the same fate that other 156cm dolls have suffered on here.

She’s the Juno 156cm (5’1”) and weighs about 75 pounds. Yeah, it does, but I’m in the works of getting it resolved.

Thank you. I got in contact with David over the phone. Hopefully, we can work something out. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep the box she came with, but if I do get another model of her, I’ll keep that box to use to dispose of her broken model.

Nice! And I’m actually gonna stick with the Hazel and Juno #6 head. 😅 But, if the deal is still going on by the time I have the money saved up for her upgrade, then I can definitely get the extra WM head for you. Tbh, the only head that I really like is #390, so that’ll for sure be the default head I pick for her. Then I can figure out which head I like best for Boxer.

That’s what I’m wondering about. I’ll definitely pick a WM head that I like a bit better than the others, but if I can get as close to a color as Boxer‘s current head, then I’d be satisfied with the MLD head on her body.

Yeah, I was thinking of that, too. It just started getting super cold here in VA about a week ago, which is around the same time that Boxer’s leg started to get stiffer. I didn’t know the cold can do that to the joints, but it makes sense. We’ve also had a lot of humidity here lately, so that could be a factor as well.

@Istvan Kozak Mm… 135cm might be okay. Again, I don’t live in Florida, so idk about their laws there. But the 135cm looks more like a teenager to me, in my opinion. With her cup size and a mature looking face, though, she should be okay. My girl is a 156cm, about 5’1”, so she comes up to about my height. She for sure looks like an adult, so I didn’t encounter an issue with her. But, yeah, definitely look into Florida’s laws and whatnot. You shouldn’t have too much of an issue, but if you’re that worried, I’d ask around on other forums and see if anyone else in Florida owns a doll under 5 feet. They might be able to help you out more than I can. Edit: I did a bit of research, and according to Florida’s laws, it’s definitely illegal to own a sex doll that looks like a child. It’s considered a felony. So, given that, you may not have a lot of options to you, as far as a smaller doll goes, unfortunately. If you really want a doll, I’d suggest sticking to dolls that are at least 5ft, and have more mature faces to them. Those dolls shouldn’t be a problem, in my opinion.

Idk about Florida because I don’t live there, but I think the general rule is that, if it looks like a kid or has child-like features, then it can be confiscated by customs, and you can even go to jail for it. But, I suggest you look into your local laws regarding children and child-like dolls, before considering a smaller doll at all. It’s not worth it to be put on a watch list over a doll, so play it safe. Good luck.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I’ve heard that the safest route is using powder based makeup, like blush or eyeshadow. I know Boxer came with some lipstick, which looks like normal lipstick to me, but I have yet to try it out on her. Thanks for the tips and links tho!

Oh, wow! That model actually would’ve been perfect for Boxer. She’s got great boobs and she’s kinda muscular, but I bet she’s super heavy. Maybe MLD will release this model again in the future so I can upgrade her. Cute doll! ☺️

Yeah, I was thinking about a sponge that’s much bigger. Makeup sponges are good for little areas that need attention, such as the face, but a bigger sponge would be good for cleaning the doll’s entire body. Thanks for the tip!

Boxer’s hips are the same way. When I’m putting them up or down, they’ll creak so bad. I had my best friend over one night, and the moment she heard the creaking, she walked into my room and was like, “Um... Are you okay? Is she okay?” She was already aware of Boxer’s hips and the stubborn left leg, but she wasn’t expecting the joints to creak *that* loud. I guess I’m just used to it at this point so it doesn’t bother me. 😅
