These dolls are so stunning and beautiful right out of the box that I actually felt angry toward you when I saw the first makeover post, but looking at the result, I'm so impressed with your results. You are truly skilled, and your girl is gorgeous!
The most challenging is proper fading of eyeshadow in my opinion.
Among other challenges that I’ve overcome is eyebrows, I apply them one hair at a time using a sharpened side of toothpick wiped across the side of a brow pencil.
I am surprised you’re redoing her.... She looked pretty perfect, already...
And I know it’s the best way to work on their Eye Lashes...with the Eyes out, but they sure look Kind of Creepy, that way, LoL... Reminds me of one of those futuristic Movies, where they’re building Androids...
Yes, I had her looking very good. Unfortunately, she took a pretty bad fall and ripped her eyelash up a bit, ripped her lip and really just screwed her up.
Actually, you need to apply lashes with the eyes installed.
Putting a small piece of plastic wrap in will prevent glue from getting onto eyes.
Yes they don’t look very sexy this way,
But basically this is the future, these are the beginnings of those androids! 😁
This is the most challenging thing to accomplish in my opinion.
Makeup doesn’t apply normally on TPE as it does on actual skin, so the type of makeup, and the tools to apply it is different in some cases.
I will update this thread when I finish.
I’m still working on her.
Since she has a scar on her lower lip like she took a hard right swing, I’m going to make her up looking with a little bit more (a lot actually) slutty/bad girl look!
@Fantastic Plastic Ahhh, that sucks! But, I can relate...I have learned to repair TPE tears, for the same reason...Dolls falling down and tearing something, or someplace. But, I have come to accept it, and, as you have commented before...the Scar left because of the repair, really does add to the realism of the Dolls...
Thanks for the Tip, regarding gluing Eyelashes back on...
I am pretty happy with applying Eye Makeup, now... I use Brush On Eyeshadow, in various Colors, and use actual paintbrushes , to apply it. Of course, it still needs a lot of cleanup, with Baby Oil, to get clean lines...but, that’s what works for me. Lipstick continues to be the most challenging, for me... lots of Baby Oil with Q Tips, to get a decent result...
Thanks!

I’m happy now! 😊
Lastly, lips, teeth, and some blush.
some slight colored powder on the nose.
Will probably touch up a little, but pretty much finished! 😁
Next was my all time favorite, (I’m being sarcastic, it isn’t) Eyelashes.
I use plastic film to protect the eye from getting super glue on them.
Removing the film can be a pain, but it’s way better than gluing the eyes in permanently.
Only glue one end of the lash, using a toothpick to apply small amounts of glue, working your way to the other side.
Next is stuffing and eyes.
I use just enough stuffing to bring the eye forward but no more to avoid that bug-eyed look.
Next up is eye liner and shadow.
And a little bit of red in the corner.
Yes, cotton swabs and mineral oil is a necessity!
