the tension of the arm is held tight by a nut thatās on the inside of the shoulder tube.
In order to tighten it, I had to drill a hole in the shoulder tube so I could bind the nut and tighten it using the arm itself.
I then carefully applied Loctite 630 Retaining Compound to the top of the nut with the doll on its side while the nut was loose to get the compound into the threads.
Bound the nut, tightened it up to match the tension of the other arm, left it alone for a few hours.
Did all this from a small incision in the under arm.
Put the doll in an upside down position on a couch without a head on, and sealed up the cut with a soldering iron using a sliver I harvested from the inside of the neck.
@Fantastic Plastic Yikes! I know that's silicone I'm looking at, but it still gave me a cringe when I first saw the incision. Very cool to see the skeleton, even if it is a tiny section.
@Fantastic Plastic cool! Thanks for sharing that. I'm trying to work up the nerve to start on some repairs of my 1st 2 dolls I own. Luckily I don't need to worry about any on my mld doll yet.
So, FP- now that you have two of these lovelies; have you bought any outfits for them? I am curious as to sizes (dress, blouse, skirt, bra, panties, other?).
Is that your 143cm doll? Whichever one it is, she certainly is beautiful.
I should have also asked: Which head is the replacement? That face is amazing!
Thatās the #71 head, apparently it only fits the 143 (or so Iāve been told).
it is a nice face, i like it as well!
@Fantastic Plastic Please, if you have dressed the 143 71 up at all; any clothing sizes you could share would be most appreciated.
@alexchangander Actually I havenāt dressed her at all, but I have other 140s and she seems to be around the same size which should be an XS.
the one thing I have always found impressive with these makes of dolls is the very nice proportions that they have.
the arms arenāt wire like even on this flat chested one, she has some meat on her which does show up on the weight.
But still Iām going to have to say XS should be fitting.
That's awesome that they handled it that quick and painless for you!
So, had they sent you a new body because of the right shoulder problem? Is that why the head color mismatch?
No, I was givin a $70 refund for the shoulder problem.
Actually I like the 143, so I bought another, fixed the shoulder on the first one, now I have twins!
Iām planning on making a lesbian doll comic strip with my 168, 161, and the 143 twins called āDouble Trouble!āš
@Fantastic Plastic I don't blame you for buying a second, the 143 is stunning.
Was the repair difficult, and while you had it open; does the joint look like it will happen again?
Was a bit challenging, but I persevered!

Finished it off with a hot air reflow gun.
Practically canāt tell it was ever worked on.
I work on things at the pro level, always have.
Hereās a picture of the start of the work;
