Here is my first try at full makeup. Eyeliner, lipstick, blush and powder. My goal is to make her look like she's college age, 19 - 22 or so.
I basically applied the eyeliner and lipstick (using a fingertip to smooth the lipstick) and used a q-tip and baby oil to try to clean up the mess. The blush was applied after reading a lorealparisusa page. I then applied baby powder with a shaving brush to try to keep everything from smearing off.
I obviously missed the lines. How the heck do you apply this stuff without pulling the skin and smearing? Any tips or tricks, opinions or critiques are welcome.

Thank ya'll for the encouraging comments. There is also some encouragement from my end. Look what happens when I step back by a foot or so...
Wow! Aredhel is really coming to life! Her Eyebrows look so much better, now... And I really like that Lipgloss, too! Opening her mouth, like that, changes so much about her look, and all of it good! I use a much more low tech solution, to open the Lips, on a couple of my Girls...I use a Cotton Ball. I tuck it inside, her mouth, far enough, to open her lips, and just give a hint of white teeth...as you can see with Faelyn, in this picture...
The Eyelashes are truly one of the most difficult things, to get right...
They are challenging to work with, because they are so fine, plus getting just a tiny amount of superglue, on that thin filament, is not easy, at all. Then positioning them, with tweezers, while the Superglue becomes tacky, is difficult...
You’ll get it, though....
The eyelashes were an unmitigated disaster. I will revisit those in the future. So I followed the good advice given to me in the posts above. I went with powdered eyeliner and a fine brush around the eyes, liquid lipgloss, and powdered blush. The brows were also done with eyeliner and a fine brush.
Please note, she also has a 3d printed mouth piece that's separating her lips and adding a hint of a smile.
Obviously a lot of practice still required, but DYAMM! What a change! We are definitely getting closer to my vision for her.
@NinjaGirl Surprisingly, Superglue will let go of TPE...
With your Girl’s head on your Work Table, with plenty of light, grab the end of the Eyelash, with Tweezers, and pull outward, Lightly... Let me say that again; LIGHTLY. With patience and steady pulling pressure, the Superglue will let go...and you can slowly, slowly pull the Eyelash off. Do not use a Solvent; it will melt the TPE. I also remove the Eyeball, while doing this( contributing more to your Cyberneticist Vision... I liked that Movie, too... Alita).
This same technique works on Fingernails and Toenails, if you want to change them out, for Colored Ones...
Ya'll have helped me a lot. I spent a while cleaning everything I could off of her head, while it sat under some good light on my worktable.
I've decided that what I'm going to try next is the eyebrows, top and bottom eyelashes and some simple lip gloss.
Clean and young, but mature at the same time. The mental image works for me, anyway. We'll see what happens.
Any solution to getting my poorly superglued lashes off? I'm afraid to just pull at them, because I figure the glue is stronger than the TPE.
Suggestions for a lip gloss that I might could actually apply?
Having her head on the table wasn't as weird as I thought it would be. It actually felt kind of loving, as I carefully removed the mess I'd made. I felt like a cybernetescist working on a favorite android. Like maybe I should have named her Alita. It was enjoyable.
Welp! you did a heck of a better job than me, this is not my forte, luckily there are other members her that excel in this area, @Fantastic Plastic and @rk105rider among others have learn the ninja art of make-up.
I use powder makeup for the entire face. even the lips.
Except eyebrows, for that I use an eyebrow pencil or an artist color pencil from Makeup Forever brand and the edge of a toothpick cut really thin and apply the brows one hair at a time.
Black eyeshadow for eyeliner, Red for lips etc..
Here is some pictures for reference:
Nice work! She looks lovely!
@NinjaGirl Well done! Aredhel looks great! You really have changed her into a mature looking, Young Woman...
Applying Makeup is definitely a learned skill, that takes practice. Lipstick is the hardest for me....I always need to use a few QTips, with Baby Oil, to clean up the edges and get those Lines even...
I use Fine Artist Paintbrushes, to apply Eyeshadow and to blend Colors together. The little brushes that come with those Products don’t work for me... I go through a lot of QTips, with Baby Oil, cleaning as I go, to get the results, I want... And then dust any shiny areas, with Talcum Powder, applied by QTip...
I also use Baby Oil on QTips, to shape the Eyebrows... Those are just Brown Makeup, and can be shaped and changed, as you want, too...
Adding some lower Eyelashes, will further Change the Appearance of her Eyes...
They require more work, as the lower lashes are only about half the length, of the upper lashes, and only extend about 3/4 the length of the lower Eyelid, from the outside Corner... Which means, you have to trim those Eyelashes, with scissors, before gluing them on...with superglue gel and tweezers... A great trick I learned from FP, is to use a small piece of Cling Wrap, to cover the Eyeball, before gluing Eyelashes on. That way, you don’t glue the Eyelash, to the Eyeball... Once the Glue dries, you just pull off the cling wrap, gently, with your tweezers... Wax Paper works well, too..
The first thing I do, though...is remove her head from her body, and take off her Wig. I set her head head on a Towel, on my table, with a bright desk lamp, shining on her face, to work on Her Makeup... I can’t do it, with her head, on her body, with all that hair, in the way...
