    Lipgloss on dolls?

    in General Discussions

Hi, y’all. So I’m thinking of re-doing Boxer’s makeup whenever I clean her face again, and I’m wondering if lipgloss is safe to use on TPE. I thought it’d be nice to not only have a shine on her lips, but it would give a more realistic feeling to me when kissing her. So, what’s safe and what’s not? 🤔

@ArtiSan09 I just use regular Lipstick, on my Dolls. I have tried a few Different Transparent Lipglosses, but wasn’t impressed with how they looked. These were the latest, I‘ve bought and liked, from Amazon…

@Kevin I am not having any luck copying the link from Amazon, but, if you type NYX Red Matte Lipstick, in the Amazon search Box, it comes right up…

The main thing you need to keep in mind is...regardless of what you want to do, makeup-wise (foundation, lipstick, bronzer, etc.) whatever you use must be powder based...

Liquid makeup products do not work on TPE...(It'll run right off the doll if you barely move her or touch her...)

It's also one of the reasons why alot doll people use eyeshadow to double as eyeliner and other things...

Anyway, as you've already guessed, there's alot of fun to be had here...

    So have fun...

Even though you probably don't need these...here's 3 tutorials you might want to check out:

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I’ve heard that the safest route is using powder based makeup, like blush or eyeshadow. I know Boxer came with some lipstick, which looks like normal lipstick to me, but I have yet to try it out on her. Thanks for the tips and links tho!
