Hi there,
It's been an interesting ride but it's time to part with my pandemic toys. I live in a condo and have no idea how to get rid of these dolls discretely. Tossed out the boxes a long time ago and trying to figure out how to get rid of this stuff without looking like some deranged serial killer. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Well the answer is odd but honest as I’ve disposed of a couple cheap alibaba ones and I’m also an avid hunter so I can say removing the tpe from frame is 100% exactly like removing meat from bone minus the blood so go to Walmart and get a set of skinning knives unlike cleaning an animal it doesn’t really matter where you start but cut down the frame and pull it taught and just keep trimming it away from frame utility knives don’t work well serrated blades cut the tpe best it’s a shit ton of work I think my next throwaways will just be turned into Halloween decorations probably a ton less work building a plywood coffin 🤷🏻♂️
I'm not usually a bleeding heart environmentalist, but the thought of a bunch of TPE filling landfills bothers me. Is it not recyclable somehow/somewhere? And yeah, my winter purchase is ready for recycling, so I'm looking for options, too.
wise just get rid of them just like you do garbage.
The latest (156 SDH-A2) is in good condition save one hip that broke. The other (156 SDH-53) is basically split in half along the waist but the TPE is still holding the thing together... though the skeleton pierces through at certain angles. It's basically a disaster. I'm guessing I'll have to cut it up like I'm some perverted version of Dexter or something. Fun times smh.
@someone What have you got, and what condition are they in?
Don't get rid of them. So what I do and dress them in cool outfits and display them.
