    Good news

    in General Discussions

I wanted to take a few minutes to share some good news, I am happy to report that the right hip on my Mia 156 is no longer seized at least at the moment, and she is now capable of being in a standing position, it is still difficult to move but at least it moves again, no change has been made on her right knee.

She will be getting some extensive cleaning, oiling and powdering before going into storage.

Surprisingly enough no lubricant injections or surgery was done, but what unlocked her hip was some good old fashion "rough play", her hip seems to have been worked loose during the "event" and while I was surprised I was happy to label it a happy accident.

One of her sisters will be taking the cuddling duties, now I just have to decide which one ...

Good, thats one of my biggest complaints with these is the joint stiffness.

Left hip on my 165 is super tight and noisy.

I injected mineral oil three times at different directions with zero change.

Vinegar will help with the rusty pins in the joins or at least dissolve the rest then mineral oil. The skeletons are stainless but the pins are plain steal not sure how else to address the problem I have not used the mineral oil on the joints yet but the rust needs removed first and the vinegar will eat it away and its non toxic. I it helps with stains as well White kitchen vinegar.
