Alice 38 has arrived!!

I, Mudd.. is one of my favorite episodes of any series. My favorite quote from that episode is "Knowledge should be free to all!" in response to Spock identifying him as a thief. The scenes where the crew defeats Norman, the brain of the hive, so to speak, are like watching some futuristic acid trip. The crew pretends to create a bomb delivered by invisible golf club after dancing to the death of Scotty who they killed by pointing at him and whistling. Spock destroys Norman by explaining that "Logic is a tweeting bird chirping in a meadow. Logic is a beautiful wreath of flowers that smell bad." then questioning why Norman's ears are green (they were not). The final 'anti-program' is delivered as Kirk informs Norman that "Everything Spock says is a lie." to which Spock replies to Norman "I am lying."! This leads to the director bringing out one of most expensive and stirring special effects of the era, dry ice, to depict Normans head 'smoking' while shutting down. The special robot of Harcourt Fenton Mudd III's original wife, who he can shut down by simply demanding that she "SHUT UP!", is reprogrammed to never shut down, nag him constantly, and is numbered in the hundreds!!

Alice 38, that was pretty early in the series. If memory serves there were 500 in the Alice series. Not to mention the Barbra series, the Mazy series, the Trudy series, and the Anabel series.
